The four documents published for the first time in extenso are dedicated to the memorable events such as the last uprising of Strel'tsy, the two investigations organized by the authorities, and the execution of the culprits. The documents bring some new details about the rebellion, but they prove to be much more interesting from another point of view - that of the setting up of the image of the young tsar in the diplomatic documents of that time. In this sense, Paul Heins' letters prepare the image of Piter the Great that will be created by the panegyrics of the tsar in the XVIIIth century.

This volume has the same title of the one published in 2011. It collects a series of studies on the long reign of the second Trastàmara King of Naples, Ferdinand of Aragon (1458-1494), using mainly the great mass of information offered by diplomatic correspondences. The authors study some key events and protagonists of Italian history in the Quattrocento (the battle of Ponza, the condottiero Giacomo Piccinino, the journey of Lorenzo de’ Medici to Naples, the war of Ferrara) and important topics about politics and political communication: the relations between the Crown, the society and the fiscal institutions; the use of italian language in the autograph letters written by Lluís Dezpuig, a catalan; the “queenship” of the duchess of Ferrara. Il volume, che riprende il titolo di quello pubblicato nel 2011, presenta alcune ricerche sul lungo regno di Ferrante, secondo re aragonese di Napoli, utilizzando in maniera privilegiata lo straordinario patrimonio informativo costituito dalle corrispondenze diplomatiche. Alcuni cruciali eventi del Quattrocento italiano risultano irradiati di nuova luce (la battaglia di Ponza, le vicende regnicole del condottiero Giacomo Piccinino, il viaggio di Lorenzo il Magnifico a Napoli, la guerra di Ferrara), mentre emergono spunti stimolanti su temi afferentia originali ambiti di espressione del potere: i rapporti tra monarchia, società e istituzioni fiscali del regno napoletano; l’uso dell’italiano nelle lettere autografe del catalano Lluís Dezpuig; l’esercizio del “potere al femminile” da parte della duchessa di Ferrara.

Marta Pallavidinis Studie widmet sich der formalen und der inhaltlichen Analyse von Texten der Diplomatie und der Propaganda, die während der hethitischen Großreichszeit verfasst worden sind. Zu den Texten der Diplomatie gehören vor allem Staatsverträge, internationale Anweisungen und Briefe; zu den Texten der Propaganda, den sogenannten historiografischen Texten, zählen im hethitischen Bereich in erster Linie Annales und Res Gestae, in denen die Taten der Könige erzählt werden. Bei den diplomatischen Texten werden die Terminologie, die Struktur, der Inhalt und die juristischen Aspekte sowie das verwendete Zeichenrepertoire und die Fundorte untersucht. Bei den für die Studie relevanten historiografischen Texten wiederum werden die Erzähltechniken, die Adressaten sowie die Zielsetzung analysiert. Auf diese Weise werden die besonderen Eigenschaften der diplomatischen Texte geklärt, und in der Folge werden die Art der diplomatischen Beziehungen zwischen dem hethitischen Reich und den anderen vorderasiatischen Ländern sowie die sich dabei manifestierenden politischen, gesellschaftlichen, wirtschaftlichen und religiösen Konzeptionen der Hethiter herausgearbeitet. Schließlich wird die wechselseitige Beeinflussung von Diplomatie und Propaganda im hethitischen Bereich dargelegt.Das Buch ist auf Italienisch geschrieben und enthält eine ausführliche deutsche Zusammenfassung.
